Eastlands (Benefits Administration) Ltd. based in Basingstoke is part of National Grid plc. Eastlands provides a full range of professional, in-house, pensions administration services to the National Grid UK Pension Scheme Trustees (Defined Benefit section) and supports NG plc operations in any associated project work.
Specialist areas of operation include providing a full range of
pensions administration activities to agreed standards of service
and UK legislation. This includes administering the National Grid
UK Pension Scheme pensioner payroll (73,396 pensioners), database
administration, local systems support and providing a full pensions
accounting function.
Professional qualifications within Pensions, Payroll and Finance are a licence to practice. Eastlands' staff are either fully qualified or studying for the relevant UK professional pensions, finance or payroll qualifications. Many are Members, Associates and Fellows of the relevant professional bodies or hold the appropriate NVQs. These include: the Pensions Management Institute (PMI), the Institute of Pensions and Payroll Management (IPPM), the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
